Abstract

Evidence for a strong final-state interaction between the two protons in the reaction ^3He(d,t)2p has recently been obtained by several groups [1-3]. The observed triton spectra have the same form at forward angles as is predicted by the sequential-decay formalism of Watson [4] or of Migdal [5] using the s-wave proton-proton scattering phase shifts.
