Abstract

The time-dependent spectral shift of the DMABN charge-transfer state emission, due to dipolar interaction with the polar solvent, has been studied by wavelength-resolved decay measurements. The spectral relaxation has been found to be exponential and the time constants of the process have been determined for various solvents and temperatures.
