Abstract

We report a backlight module employing a photoluminescence quantum‐dot microstructure array (QMA) fabricated by screen printing technology for liquid crystal displays (LCDs). A 27‐inch prototype shows a color gamut of 122.79% NTSC while achieving the brightness/uniformity over 4000 cd/m2 and 85.21%. The packaging approach of QMA is also preliminarily explored.
