Abstract

In the field of LCD special display, button function durability test is essential to verify the lifetime and reliability of button light guide plate. At present, button function durability test is still performed manually, which is labor‐intensive and time‐consuming and results in the incidence of missed detection and false detection. In this paper, an automatic test system for button function durability was designed. The reciprocating pressing motion of the cylinder was used to replace the action of the manual keystroke in this work. In addition, the pressure sensor was driven by the servo motor to detect the contact force between the button trigger probe and the button, so as to realize the feedback of the button force and judge the damage degree of the button. The system achieves an acceptable effect to realize the automatic test of button fatigue life and button force value, and can be applied to test other units of special display, such as touch panel.
