Abstract
The optimal dose of leuprolide acetate (LA) has not been determined for IVF. Advantages of lower dose LA include less expense and possible less initial suppression. Potential advantages of higher dose LA include less baseline cyst/follicle formation and less risk of premature ovulation. Baseline cyst formation has been shown to be associated with poor IVF stimulation and lower pregnancy rates. The purpose of this study is to determine if higher LA doses increase the gonadotropin requirement or decreases the incidence of baseline ovarian cysts during ovarian stimulation for IVF.
