Abstract
The back cover is mainly used to strengthen the display product strength, increase rigidity, and prevent product deformation and distortion during assembly, use or transportation. This thesis studies the influence of different back cover thickness, backplane material and stiffener position, number of stiffeners, and stiffener structure on the strength of the backplane. Good display support structures are required that not only can offer better sustentation results, but also can reduce the negative effect with lesser back cover materials. By simulating and optimizing the design of the backplane, the strength of the product is increased and the unit price of the product is reduced.
