Abstract

In the United States, preoperative education sessions are offered by bariatric surgeons as a method of educating prospective patients. However, there is a paucity of research on the impact of such sessions. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of group education sessions on prospective patient knowledge of bariatric surgery and preference for surgical procedure.
