Abstract

Color photoresists of dye, pigment mixture (hybrid) and full dye are widely utilized for low power loss and wide color gamut display. We found that due to the addition of dye molecules with particle size of 1–3 nm, there will be mutual dyeing between RGB films, especially in the G with high transmittance by the blue photoresist containing dye results in the decrease of the G transmittance “ΔY”. Here, we studied the dyeability of dye‐containing blue photoresist to G film, explained the influence of the tiny dye molecules on dyeability from the perspective of mechanism, and furthermore suggest how to improve the dyeability.
