Abstract
In this paper, a novel objective evaluation method is proposed to quantify the picture quality. In particular, the effect of “halo” and “backlight delay” is taken into consideration in the design of the evaluation pipeline. The objective evaluation method is used to test the picture quality, and the results are compared with the subjective ones, demonstrating the effectiveness of our proposed evaluation method.
