Abstract

Primary anorectal melanoma (ARM) is a rare neoplasm, accounting for 0.25%– 1.25% of malignancies originating in the anorectal region with poor prognosis despite aggressive management. Owing to its rare incidence and aggressive course, data regarding ideal management is lacking. Surgery is still the preferred modality of treatment.
