Abstract

Management of locally advanced esophageal cancer (LAEC) is challenging given its aggressive behaviour and that it is often diagnosed in patients (pt) with significant comorbidities. A multimodal approach could enhance treatment results and quality of life. We aimed to assess outcome differences in a non-clinical trial scenario in our LAEC cohort, according to multidisciplinary management in a highly specialized gastro-esophageal cancer functional unit (UFEG) integrated with different specialists.
