Abstract

MPRT (Motion Picture Response Time) has been put forward to characterize the key performance of gaming display, however, it is more about objective effect. This paper introduces a visual effect evaluation method of high frame rate gaming display. It shows that the luminance of foreground and background in a moving picture both can affect the sensitivity of our visual sense. Furthermore, it provides a new way to lower the motion blur in displays.
