Abstract

Colorectal cancer (CRC) the third most common cause of cancer among men and women in the USA. In 2021, an estimated 147,950 new cases of CRC will be diagnosed in the US, and 53,200 people will die from CRC. The incidence of CRC among Hispanics living in the USA varies according to their country of origin, supporting the idea that differences in ancestry may contribute to the differences in CRC incidence. For unclear reasons, the incidence of CRC is dramatically increasing among younger Hispanics.
