Abstract

In order to overcome the inherent accommodation‐convergence (AC) conflict in stereoscopic 3D display, we proposed a super multi‐view 3D display based on polarization multiplexing for AR/VR applications. Employing 2 LCD devices with orthogonal polarization directions and a pair of polarizing glasses, 2 viewing points can be observed by a human eye simultaneously. We also analyze the factors affecting the depth range in such a display.
