Abstract
This paper proposes a novel method to find out optimum overdrive (OD) values through only users' visual inspection. To investigate the relation between OD values measured from optical equipment and human eyes, three scrolling bar width (Viewing angle) and three difference values from the measured OD value (Delta) are used in the experiment. We found that people distinguish delta 1 when the viewing angle of scrolling bar was 4° is used. We propose an application of proposed pattern to a smart device. Users can optimize the OD values quickly and easily with their own eyes without any knowledge about OD technology.
