Abstract

This work demonstrates approach for improvement of electro‐optic performance and light reflectance properties of electrically‐controlled reflective heliconical cholesteric liquid crystal (CLCoh) textures. A noticeable increase of the electric field range which supports the CLCoh texture is demonstrated by using photo polymerization with polarized UV light. Such performance improvement broadens the scope of potential applications of CLCoh materials in electro‐optical devices.
