Abstract

A new series of red phosphorescent iridium(lll) complexes, (PT-MQ)2Ir(tmd), (PT-P)2Ir(tmd), and (PT-TFP)2Ir(tmd) were synthesized for highly efficient red emitter of the organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The devices give very deep red EL spectra with much narrower full width at half maximum (FWHM). Maximum current efficiency of devices is 8.56 Cd/A, 5.52 Cd/A, and 2.62 Cd/A respectively.
