Abstract

AbstractA simple and a highly accurate measurement method was devised for the refractive indices of liquid crystal materials, the alignment distribution and the surface polar anchoring strength by considering the multiple reflections and the multiple interferences in the LC cell. The accurate measurement of the LC parameters based on the new Extended Jones Matrix Method resulted in the establishment of the quantitative evaluation of LC devices.
