Abstract
AbstractWe have demonstrated polymer dispersed blue phase (PDBP) liquid crystal films by encapsulating blue phase liquid crystal in a matrix of polymer. The phase‐separated blue phase liquid crystal molecules show droplets with a small size distribution and exhibit a blue phase at room temperature. The PDBP films enable field‐induced birefringence at low switching voltage. Details of preparation of PDBP and their thermal, optical and electro‐optical properties will be presented.
