Abstract

We propose an improved 3‐stacked top emitting white organic light emitting diode (WOLED) structure comprised of layers emitting blue fluorescence and green and red phosphorescence and with micro‐cavity. Three colors are distributed in three stacks connected with CGL (Charge generation layer) and we have proved that different sequences of three colors shows different performances. We have finally determined one structure enables further enhancement in efficiency and reduction in power consumption of OLED. Although this method reduces the efficiency of blue emission, the overall power consumption is 18% lower than that of the traditional BYB device structure.
