Abstract

AbstractWe propose a method for fast switching of a vertical alignment (VA) liquid crystal (LC) cell by forming polymer networks at a low temperature. We found by experiment that the response time of a VA cell can be reduced by low‐temperature curing. The turn‐off time of the fabricated VA cell was reduced by 54% when the polymers were cured at ‐20°C.
