Abstract

This paper innovates a method for visualizing and quantifying color differences using relative hue and relative color concentration. Firstly, the relative hue and relative color concentration are proposed to solve the problem that conventional chromaticity parameters can't characterize color difference. Secondly, the color difference visualization and quantification method realized by weighting algorithm and VB programming can replace the conventional qualitative assessment by human eyes, which greatly improves the accuracy and repeatability. Finally, this paper takes the color difference problem of 2 a‐Si products as an example, and uses the method of this paper to test and analyze, and easily clarifies the cause of color difference as the uneven thickness of Panel SINx film layer and the slow settling rate of LED phosphor. Combined with principle analysis, optical simulation, and experimental verification, this paper finally proposes an improvement plan to solve the stubborn color difference problem of a‐Si products.
