Abstract

AbstractThe Multi‐electrode Driving Scanning Liquid Crystal Prism (MDSP) for time‐sequential glasses‐free display was proposed. Applying the driving voltage to the MDSP's electrodes sequentially, the incident light could be deflected in two or more different directions. Therefore, the light could be projected to the observer's left and right eyes sequentially to form a 3D visual sensing with full resolution. In addition, the polymer stabilized method is used to improve the cell's switching time. It is believed that the proposed LC prism has potential for 3D display application in the future.
