Abstract
AbstractThe electro‐optic properties of a reverse‐mode polymer stabilized cholesteric texture (PSCT) using a high birefringence (Δn∼0.4) liquid crystal were investigated. The device shows 80:1 contrast ratio at 7Vrm and 12 ms for switching‐on and 19 ms for switching‐off speed for reflective displays. A black and white reflective display using segmented numeric alphabet is demonstrated.
