Abstract
Methods:We analyzed the courses of CYFRA 21-1, TPA, TPS, M30, CEA and CA 19-9 in prospectively collected sera of 30 patients with colorectal cancer during adjuvant (N = 15) and primary (N = 15) chemotherapy and correlated the marker levels with therapy response after two months and overall survival (OS). In addition we investigated pretherapeutic serum levels of CYFRA 21-1, M30, CEA and CA 19-9 in 42 CRC patients, 45 with benign colorectal diseases and 51 healthy controls.
