Abstract
Male sexual problems sometimes show no evidence of organic cause. In particular with young people or even adult or middle aged men in healthy (physically and mentally) conditions. Because sexuality is acted in the body as well the mind and is the result of an integration between biological, psychological and cultural components we focus, in these cases, our attention on the psychosexual aspects of our dysfunctional patients. We interview our patient on his sexual behavior and preferences, his sexual history and past experiences, the presence or not of sexual confidence and sexual abilities, the presence or absence of stable sexual partner, his relationship with the other sex and his sexual orientation. The analysis of the sexual psychic reality is obtained by the exploration of sexual inner world (as obtained mainly through the individual sexual narratives, fantasies and dreams) and its comparison to sexual behavior, sexual attitude, and sexual cognitions.
