An inexpensive, compact and efficient catalytic converter for removal of ozone from the cooling air stream of compact arc lamps is described. The device uses no power and requires no regeneration. Test results are presented showing essentially complete removal of ozone from the cooling air stream of a typical 150 W xenon arc lamp.
