Abstract

The influence of ultrasound waves on ozone generation by hollow needle to plate electrical discharge enhanced by the airflow through the needle at atmospheric pressure is experimentally investigated. We found that the proper application of ultrasound waves with respect to the axis of the discharge will increase concentration of ozone produced by the discharge as well as the ozone production yield.
