Abstract
Film theory has been applied to the ozonation of resorcinol and phloroglucinol. It was observed that the kinetic regime of absorption changes twice depending upon the ozone partial pressure applied. For low values of this variable, the reactions are fast and pseudo first order with respect to ozone so that the kinetic expression given by the film theory allows the determination of the pseudo rate constants at different pH's and temperatures
