Abstract

The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) at the La0.1Sr0.9Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (LSCF1982)/Ce0.9Gd0.1O2 (GDC) interface is investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in 550-650 oC range under different oxygen partial pressure (pO2). The analysis of impedance diagrams revealed the presence of at least three processes involved in ORR. The reaction at high-frequency region was assigned to the transport of oxide ions within the electrode structure and the electrode/electrolyte interface, whereas the reaction at the low frequency region is the adsorption of gaseous oxygen molecule from the gas phase onto the active electrode site.
