Abstract

Raman spectroscopy of (1‐x) NBT‐xBiCrO3 solid solutions was carried at room temperature. In addition to well known Raman modes two additional bands near 770 and 835 cm−1 were observed. The intensity of these bands increased gradually with increase in BiCrO3 concentration. Their presence was conjectured to the oxygen defects in crystal lattice. Mechanism is responsible for formation of these defects is discussed.
