Abstract

An experiment was conducted at the KVK, Badgaon, MPUAT, Udaipur during the year 2019-2020 to study “Improving growth and yield of Kinnow through foliar sprays of zinc and iron” The design of the experiment was laid on RBD with 3 replications and 16 treatments to assess the effect of different combination of T1 - (Control), T2 - (0.25% Zinc sulphate), T3 - (0.5% Zinc sulphate), T4 - (0.75% Zinc sulphate), T5 - (0.5% Ferrous sulphate), T6 - (0.75% Ferrous sulphate), T7 - (1% Ferrous sulphate), T8 - (0.25% ZnSO4 + 0.5% FeSO4), T9 - (0.25% ZnSO4 + 0.75% FeSO4), T10 - (0.25% ZnSO4 + 1% FeSO4), T11 - (0.5% ZnSO4 + 0.5% FeSO4), T12 - (0.5% ZnSO4 + 0.75% FeSO4), T13 - (0.5% ZnSO4 + 1% FeSO4), T14 - (0.75% ZnSO4 + 0.5% FeSO4), T15 - (0.75% ZnSO4 + 0.75% FeSO4), T16 - (0.75% ZnSO4 + 1% FeSO4) applied at fruit set and peach size stage of fruit through foliar spray. Maximum increase Growth parameters viz. shoot length (cm), plant height (m), canopy area (m) was recorded T16 - (0.75% ZnSO4 + 1% FeSO4). T13 - (0.5% ZnSO4 + 1% FeSO4) has also significantly increased no. of fruits per plant, fruit weight, fruit volume, fruit retention, yield per plant and yield /ha.
