Abstract

Catalytic oxizdation is a non-HDS technology to remove sulfur compounds from diesel fuel, and ultrasound irradiation was introduced to provide energy for this reaction. The effects of reaction temperature, time, and the ratio of oxidant and oil were investigated. The results show that under certain conditions, the optimal conditions were as follows: volume ratio of oxidant to oil was 1:10, reaction temperature was 50°C, and oxidation time was 10 min.
