Abstract
Abstract The oxidative coupling of aromatic compounds was carried out between the organic phase containing an aromatic compound and the aqueous phase containing palladium(II) perchlorate-ferric perchlorate system as the catalyst. The yields of biphenyl and bitolyl per hour based on palladium charged were 350 and 1000 percent, respectively.
