Abstract

MoSi2-SiCw composite coating were prepared on C103 by HPS and exposed to static or cyclic oxidation atmosphere. At 1250 °C, the thickness of the diffusion layer of cyclic oxidation for 150 times for 1 h each was thinner than that of static oxidation for 150 h. Through experiments, the incubation time of the emergence of new phases at 1250, 1350, and 1450 °C were 0.542, 0.079, and 0.012 h, respectively. A formula was established to estimate the thickness of the diffusion layer of the coating under cyclic oxidation, and the unknown parameters in the formula were determined.
