Abstract

AbstractGlycol monoesters were produced by oxidation of acetals with oxygen, hydroperoxides, hydrogen peroxide, hydrotrioxide and ozon. Addition of salts of metals of variable valency and crown‐ether substantially increase the rate of oxidation and hydroxylation. The most efficient oxidizer is ozon.
