Abstract
The oxidation kinetics of C4–C10 aliphatic aldehydes by quaternary ammonium permanganates, R4NMnO4 (R=ethyl, butyl and octyl), in dichloromethane is reported with special regard to the colloidal manganese(IV) intermediate.
