Abstract
Summary The amino acid sequence of the C-terminal 68 residues of ovine growth hormone is reported. The degree of homology between this region of ovine growth hormone and of bovine, porcine and human growth hormone and ovine prolactin is 99%, 90%, 62% and 22% respectively. The total residue number of ovine growth hormone is approximately 188, corresponding to a molecular weight of 21,300.
