Abstract
Obesity, a chronic, multifactorial disease that develops from the interaction of behavioral, physiological, metabolic, cellular, and molecular factors, is a worldwide public health concern. There are more than 1 billion obese adults around the world, and it is expected that the obesity epidemic will double by the year 2030 to become the major health problem of this century [1].
