All different object-oriented modeling approaches have several characteristics in common. They are based on object orientation and the OO key concepts introduced before. All of them are also using a graphical notation with textual support to augment their graphics. Moreover, the final outcome of each method to represent a system’s information and behavior should be more or less identical and independent from the chosen approach. This has to be the case in order to guarantee consistency.
