Abstract

Fishing Ground Location Map (FGLM) from NOAA-AVHRR remote sensing have been distributed to fishery people, but 50% from Fishing Ground Location can not achieved, because its locations is very far for traditional fishery ship without modern navigation system. To over come the above problem it is used overlay analysis of Fishing Ground Location Map collected from NOAA-AVHRR remote sensing for fisheries planning in Java Sea and its environs. Sea surface temperature (SST) is very influenced by the sunshine, where SST as one indicator for Fishing Ground Location. The distributiom of Fishing Ground Location are influenced by a). Sun position (April to October on north latitude or summer season) and (October to April on south lattitude or rain season) b). Satellite position (Lattitude and orbit inclination), c). Earth rotation from west to east, and d). Cloud cover. In this research it will shows that estimated of Fishing Ground Location will return back on equal relative location with one period of time. Therefore the location can be estimated for the next several years. Based on scientific forecasting we can make fisheries planning and prepare fishery ships near the corresponding location.
