Abstract

In article number 2000585 by Johannes C. Brendel and co-workers, 1,3,5-benzenetrisurea-polyethylene oxide conjugates equipped with different amino acids are examined for their self-assembly behavior in water. One amino acid unit per arm results in spherical micelles, whereas introducing two amino acid units, and thus increasing the number of hydrogen bonds per molecule, enables the formation of supramolecular polymer bottlebrushes despite the absence of any lateral aggregation.
