Abstract

ABSTRACT Libraries are welcome to all but there are still many unserved and underserved members of the community who do not know the opportunities available. New outreach and engagement methods have become an increasingly crucial part of the impact a library can have on the surrounding community. However, not every type of library will be able to utilize the same outreach methods. This research overview identifies an ideal model of community-building outreach. Additionally, utilizing case studies, this model demonstrates how it fits community outreach in the public, special, and academic libraries – each in their own unique ways.
