Abstract
The doubly-fed variable-speed pumped storage (DFVSPS) is an effective method to balance the fluctuation of renewable energy generation and is an important means of frequency and voltage regulation of power grid. Firstly, this paper introduces the model and the control strategy of the DFVSPS unit of generating mode and pumping mode. Secondly, by analyzing the dynamic behavior of the pumped storage power station, the mathematical model of output power of the DFVSPS is established, which includes start-up stage, load increasing stage, steady stage and shutdown stage of generating mode and pumping mode. Thirdly, the output power model of DFVSPS and the simulation example are established in MATLAB/Simulink. At last, the proposed power model is verified by the simulation results.
