Abstract

The development of information and communication technology increases rapidly, including the development of mobile phone technology that brings smartphone with various functions, one of them is as a source of information. It can encourage the public to access information and interact quickly. Along with these developments, BBKPM Surakarta has implemented a Short Message Service based registration system, but the system still has problems, such as Short Message Service replies received by patients is not appropriate. The strategy undertaken in accelerating the service is the outpatient registration system based on the android at BBKPM Surakarta. The purpose of this research is to make an outpatient registration system based on android at BBKM Surakarta. Type of the research uses descriptive, identification of variables used are patient data, physician data, polyclinic data, and payment data. The subject in this research is the registration officer, and the object in this research is part of registration and IT. Instruments used in this study are observation and interview, as well as used System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) system development method. The outpatient registration system based on Android at BBKPM Surakarta, was built to accelerate the process of service, especially in the registration section, with this application is expected that later patients can register anytime and anywhere, and can see the doctor's schedule before applying through an existing application on Android. Hospital information system at BBKPM Surakarta should be developed better, so that health service given to society will be more efficient to process of health service at the hospital.
