Abstract
Purpose: Varicose vein disease is common and affects quality of life in as much as 37.2% of the Indian population. Although surgical treatment was considered the “gold standard”, it has now been replaced by endovenous thermal ablation as the first line of treatment for superficial venous reflux. A new technique for ablation of venous insufficiency is a non-thermal, non-tumescent vein sealing system, which comprises the endovenous delivery of cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive to the vein causing obliteration of lumen.
