Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Microvascular repair with suture is pro-thrombotic and inflammatory in nature, especially in vessels measuring <2mm in diameter. Photochemical tissue bonding (PTB) is a technique that crosslinks collagen to create an immediate watertight bond with minimal inflammation. We hypothesize that use of PTB with a biocompatible intraluminal stent will result in a rapid microvascular seal with minimal endothelial inflammation.
