Abstract

Neuromyelitis optica (NMO) is a severe autoimmune disease targeting optic nerves and spinal cord. The monoclonal anti-CD20 B cell antibody Rituximab is a treatment option in refractory NMO. The prevalence of NMO in South India is around 2.6/lakh population. This study was conducted to evaluate the outcome of Rituximab over 12 months in refractory NMO.
