Abstract
Outcome measures in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are important in both the clinical situation and in the evaluation of new treatments. The most appropriate clinical measures for use in these settings and the current opinion regarding how these measures may be improved was recently discussed at the 12th Annual General Meeting of the British Society for Rheumatology [Glasgow, UK; April 1995].
