Abstract

This paper will first discuss the various provisions of the Emigration Act, 1983 (the Act) and Emigration Rules, 1983 (the Rules) specifically relating to the registration and certification of Recruitment Agencies that support the placement of Indian workers overseas and then assesses these provisions in light of the ethical framework model for cross-border labor recruitment.
